Martine Van de Velde, a Belgian national with Australian permanent residency status, has been working as an independent planning and evaluation consultant since 2005.
Prior to working as an evaluation consultant she gained strong program management experience in the field combined with management positions at NGO and UN Headquarters level.
Martine Van de Velde holds a BA, MA and MPhil in Political Sciences and International Development Studies from universities in Belgium.
Her current PhD research focuses on the formulation of innovative evaluation strategies to assess the interrelation between conflict, violence and development.
To support her own continuous learning and sharing of knowledge she also lectures at university-level on Comparative Politics: Developing Nations; Politics of Poverty; Middle-East Politics; and the Evaluation of International Development Programs.
